Terms

The terms that govern your use of Band of Misfits

Effective date: April 1, 2026

The short version: Use our site and services honestly and lawfully. Do not copy or redistribute our content or frameworks. Membership is month-to-month. We reserve the right to terminate access for violations of these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Band of Misfits website, attending a Golden Ticket session, subscribing to our newsletter, or becoming a member, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of services

Band of Misfits® provides an operating system for independent experts, including live coaching sessions, community access via Slack, frameworks and tools, and related content and resources. Services are described in detail on our website and may be updated from time to time.

3. Membership

Eligibility: Membership is available to adults aged 18 and over. We reserve the right to accept or decline any membership application at our discretion.

Billing: Membership is billed monthly at the current rate listed on our website, plus a one-time enrollment fee. All fees are charged in US dollars. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused portions of membership.

Changes to pricing: We reserve the right to change membership pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued membership after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use our website or services to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation

  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others

  • Harass, abuse, or harm any other member or person

  • Distribute spam, unsolicited communications, or malicious content

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our services

  • Reproduce, resell, or redistribute any BOM content, frameworks, or materials without written permission

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with Band of Misfits

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Band of Misfits website and within membership, including but not limited to the V2BGR Operating System, the Life Coin framework, the Misfit Magic Square, the Golden Rings Framework, the Three Problems Framework, written content, tools, frameworks, session recordings, and the Band of Misfits® name and mark, is the intellectual property of Band of Misfits and Stephen Moegling.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any of our content without our prior written consent. Membership grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use our materials for your own business purposes only.

6. Session recordings and community content

BOM sessions are recorded and made available to members. You may not share, distribute, or publish session recordings outside of the BOM member community. Member contributions to the Slack community or live sessions remain your own, but by participating you grant Band of Misfits a non-exclusive license to reference or quote your contributions for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Results described on our website are not guaranteed and will vary based on individual effort, circumstances, and other factors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Band of Misfits and Stephen Moegling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
